Leaving old habits behind is challenging but leaving your favorite foods behind is pure torture! Finding Gluten-Free (GF) options that taste good and provide the same satisfaction as your favorite foods can feel like an impossible task; it took me four years (which felt like a lifetime) of being GF to find brands and products that I love.

Some of my favorite brands are:

  • Schar……………...……breadsticks, breadcrumbs, chocolate-dipped cookies, shortbread cookies

  • Kinnikinnick ………………………………………………………………. chocolate vanilla cream (GF Oreo)

  • Tate's……………………………………………………………………………………………….………………...cookies

  • MI-DEL…………………………………………………………………………………….……………animal crackers

  • Glutino…………………………………………........................chocolate wafers, yogurt covered pretzels

  • Sweet Loren`s……...………………………………………..........................………….frozen cookie to bake

  • Gratify…………...………………………………….......................…….everything thins and sesame thins

  • Wholly Gluten Free……………............................………………………………………frozen pizza dough

  • Simple Mills……………………………………………….................................………………….baking mixes

  • Udi`s……………………………………………........................……muffins, hamburger and hotdog rolls

Larger companies have created GF options for their customers like:

  • Barilla………………………………………………......................................…………………………………pasta

  • Bisquick……………………………………………….............................…….…...…pancake and waffle mix

  • Chex……………………………………………………..........................................…………………………cereals

  • Betty Croker…………………………………….........................……...……all baking mixes and frostings

  • Annie's………………………………….......................… mac & cheese, cocoa & vanilla bunny crackers

  • Pillsbury………………………………................................…………………………………...all baking mixes

  • Cheerios…………………………………….....................................………………………………………..cereals

  • Annie's………………………………….......................… mac & cheese, cocoa & vanilla bunny crackers

  • California Pizza Kitchen……………….................…….…..bbq chicken pizza and Margherita pizza

  • Quaker Oats…………………………………………………………...............................……...instant oatmeal

Grocery stores have also made amazing strides in GF foods, especially stores like Wegmans. If you have never been to a Wegmans, you are missing out on an experience! They have one of the best bakery sections (which can be hard to walk through) as well as one of the largest GF sections, I have come across. Wegmans has its own brand of GF waffles, pasta and a variety of baking mixes. Their GF products taste like the real thing.

It is important to explore all GF brands and products; you may be like me and like a variety of items from different companies or stay loyal to one brand. My best advice would be to not be afraid to try new things!
